2009 River Award Winner
The ‘River Award’ was established in 2009 to coincide with the River Institute’s 15th Anniversary. The purpose of the award is to recognize and encourage environmental stewardship and responsibility in the community.
The recipient of the River Award is an individual, organization, or company that exemplifies one or more of the following:
· Sets an example of environmental awareness, conservation, and respect for the St. Lawrence River and/or associated watersheds in his/her daily lifestyle, work, and/or community activities.
· Provides a significant contribution and/or innovative approach to a sustainable river ecosystem.
· Encourages others to be good environmental stewards
