Sailing with Scientists

On September 9, 2006, River Institute staff joined the members of Stormont Yacht Club for an afternoon of sailing, followed by dinner, and an evening information session presented by Dr. Jeff Ridal and Mr. Bruce Doran, of the River Institute. This event was attended by more than 50 sailing enthusiasts, who were very interested to hear about the research and education programs at the River Institute. It was also an interesting opportunity for the River Institute scientists to hear the questions and concerns of the sailing community.

This event was organised as a community outreach opportunity to link the River Institute with local interest groups.
