Shell Environmental Fund Donates Canoes

The Shell Environmental Fund recently donated $5000 to the River Institute for the purchase of 2 new lightweight canoes. Already, the new canoes have been used for the River Institute/Field Course of the Environmental Technician Program at St. Lawrence College and the Marsh Monitoring Program at Cooper Marsh. This summer, the canoes are being used for excursions at Eco-friends Summer Day Camp and for ongoing research sampling in the St. Lawrence River. Our thanks to the Shell Environmental Fund
