Children's Water Festival

Last week, the River Institute was host to over 600 students at the Eastern Ontario Children’s Water Festival. The three-day Water Festival complements the Grade 4 curriculum, and involves approximately 30 different hands-on water activities, demonstrations, and games that are fun, interactive and educational. In each of these activities, children learn about conserving water, protecting water resources, and understanding the important role that water plays in our lives. The Water Festival operates with grants from the Eastern Ontario Water Resources Committee, Ontario Power Generation, TransCanada Pipelines, Children’s Water Education Council, and the Raisin Region Conservation Authority.
